#128 The Tube Sock Killings

When two-year-old Crystal Robertson was found wandering alone outside of a K-mart in Spanaway Washington, in a catatonic state, in mid-December of 1985, police immediately suspected something was seriously wrong. When she is finally found by her grandmother, and asked where her parents have gone the only thing the little girl could say was ‘mommy is in the trees’, and a search was launched immediately, and what they found led police to think that a serial killer was working in the area!

#127 Murdered In Mississippi

A young black man, working out of town, calls his mom and tells her he is having problems at work, he's scared for his life, and is being harassed by ‘trucks full of white men’. He goes to the police and repeats the same concerns to them, but nothing is done to help him. A family member is sent to pick him up and bring him home. But when she shows up at the  meeting spot there is no sign of the man. When his severely decomposed body is found scattered throughout the woods of Taylorsville Mississippi, a month later, the police claim there is ‘no signs of foul play’. That's the base circumstance behind Rasheem Carter’s murder. His story is one  that is still unfolding but what we know so far is bewildering to say the least.

Kreshanna was just short of 11 years old in May of 1992. The day Kreneice Jones, her 3 year old baby sister and a newly made friend, 2 year old LaMoine Allen went missing.

Though just a child herself she remembers the events of the day clearly.

“..I don’t know how much time went by, but my mom came by and asked me if I had seen my sister. That’s when it all started,” Kreshanna said. “All hell broke loose.”

It's a tale as old as time…a captive beauty, intelligent, quiet, and selfless, inevitably falling for the ugly, cruel, and usually cursed beast that serves as her jailer. The numerous interpretations can be traced back to ancient China’s serpent beast, and the classical Greeks, Persephone and Hades. Italy’s version has a “pig king”. Most of these fairytales end, with the beauty falling for her capture and confessing her love as he is about to die, and the couple live happily ever after. But for “Petrus” Gonsalvus the story of beauty and the beast was not a fantasy depicting a “happily ever after" ending in a far off land. No, for Petrus the story was no fairytale for he was a real life beast.

In January of 2015 two bird watchers came upon a decomposing hand near New York's famous Coney Island. Then, throughout the winter of that year more body parts were popping up around the area. The only clue police had was a severely discolored calf tattoo consisting of seven letters. From what most could tell the tattoo spelled out the name Monique. But now eight years later the identity of the woman has been confirmed, and the search for her killer is underway.

In 2015, 32-year old Henry McCabe went out with his friends for drinks on Labor Day weekend. The men partied until the early hours of the morning. Henry was then dropped off at a gas station miles from his home, without his keys and wallet. That night a voicemail was captured of Henry. The voicemail, which you will hear in this episode, is riddled with incoherent ramblings, moans, and screams, and has been analyzed by experts everywhere, but still to this day no one knows how it is connected to Henry’s death.
