We all know the name and the famous poem well at least the first line right… in 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue. It goes on to talk about his journey and the hardships he faced but fails to mention, things like his spotted background. The man was a liar, a conman, a murderer, and a fraud! So why is he still celebrated in some cultures? The same reason many other figures still remain, the white washing of American history. Today we talk about the real story of Christopher who he really was and how he became known as the discoverer of The New World.
